ok new problem!!!
so i had a very bad hair algae issue witch i have taken care of there is none left took a few moths lots of scrubbing and water changes and now its gone but now i have a brown algae growing on my rocks that dosent grow fast or crazy its just covering my rocks! my question is what is it and how do i go about getting rid of it so i can finally start putting corals back in the tank!

Its algae. They need phosphorus. That is all. Remove the phosphorus and they will subside. The speed of reduction is determined by the amount of gfo added or various other methods.

Its a good idea to have a refrence sample for alk test kits. 1.1350 grams of baking soda in 1gallon of distilled water=10dkh. Check your alkalinity test kit! Algae is Mother Natures phosphate remover Current Tank Info: 220 galon mixed reef. |

I would also add more snails that eat the stuff. Look on websites for info on what snails ear what and add them to your cleanup crea.
