Would a CBS eat a yellow watchman

I got some new additions the other day for my 180. I got a caribbean pistol, a skunk cleaner, a couple emrald crabs, a coral banded and a yellow watchman goby. The YWG hid in one spot the whole first day, right in a little cave, where I could see his face. Later the 2nd night he was out swimming around but not like I would have expected him to do. Later I couldn't find him. This has been over 2 days now and not 1 sign of him. I have read several stories today of CBS eating all kinds of stuff in the tank and now I'm worried. The last place I saw him swimming was right over by where the CBS hangs out. I've looked the tank over pretty good but granted there are a bunch of places he could be. DO you think that he was a victim, or you think I am just paranoid and possibly he's still hiding. TIA
Josh

Yes it would.

I took my CBS out when I did a tank change. He would go after anything near him.

Did he jump? Check your overflows and the floor.

I would check floors and overflow first. If not in either of those spots, wait it out. My watchman had a couple of places to hide out. One was in my rockwork. He would disappear for a week or 2 at a time

They will hide if there's a threat and it may take him weeks to come out: mine's record was 3 months in hiding.
HOWEVER: I'd trade that CBS back to the store asap. There is little use for those critters except as a showpiece with fish too big for it to eat that don't eat shrimp--if such exists---or as the sole creature in a small tank.

i had a model citizen CBS ina 12g nano for about a year. he got absolutely massive though. his antennas touched all 4 walls of the aquarium when he stood in the middle of the tank. only thing he picked on was my hermits and the damsel. but they picked back so i didnt worry about it. he could have easily killed my YWG but he never did. But mine was just weird. everyone else says theyr evil so i think i just had a big baby CBS.

I talked to one of the guys at the LFS tonight about trading him in because I was worried about the damage he might do and he asked how large the tank was. I told him 180 and he kinda laughed it off and said that is would be fine in a 180 with my other shrimp, but not in a smaller tank, he said ho SHOULDN'T bother anything with that much room to roam, but said they would take him in on trade.

Also I have checked my overflows, my sump, my fuge and the floor and haven't seen a sign of him, but I've also looked at the tank a million times and would think I would have seen my CBS eating him which i didn't see either
