neon color on rocks?

HI, I was wondering what this neon looking stuff is on my dry rock I have added to my tank a few weeks ago. Im guessing its algae of some sort? Or is it possibly the start of coraline? Its not stringy or anything like that... Just looks like neon color almost.

I have some myself, it's on my live rock that I've had for probably 5 years or more it just popped up one day back in the fall.

Pix would be nice. i don't see how it could be coraline though if you just added the rock 3 weeks ago. seems pretty quick

I get the little orange neon spots on occasion too. Almost the same color as my sea hares poo when he was eating a burgundy colored algae.
