Anyone keeping a Flame Angel in a Biocube 29?

I'm in the process of finalizing my stocking plan for a BC29 and wondering if anyone is keeping a Flame Angel in a tank this size? Looking at the guidelines on most of the livestock sites they say 30G, but I don't want to put a fish like that in a situation it won't thrive in.

Any thoughts?

i think the tank is too small for a flame myself. not enough open spave. plus flame might go after coral if you plan on keeping some. there are plenty of much smaller and still awesome fish for our little systems.

I have two yashia gobies(paired with pistol) an orchid dottyback and a true perc.

Not to go against the popular vote on this one, but I think if you had enough hiding places and only a few other fish, you could get away with a drawf angel in a 29. Don't expect to keep any other angels though.

I've seen quite a few flames in smaller tanks. If I were you I'd keep an open rockwork to have plenty of swimming room.

Ive seen lot of people having flame angels in their AIO. Id go for dwarf angels that stay small. I have a fisheri in my NC28, its really small, but it will also be moved to a larger tank in a few months when i upgrade.

Thanks for your thoughts. I'm not planning on keeping any corals beyond a couple mushrooms / softies, and if I go this way there would only be 4 fish (two false percs, a basslet and possibly the flame angel).

I've built out my rockwork to be open, allowing for plenty of hiding places and wide open swimming. At any rate, my tank has only been up and cycled for three weeks now, so I've got some time yet to decide. I wouldn't be adding the angel until the 8-12 month mark to make sure everything's stable and settled.

The norm would be 30 and up for peoples with above average marine skills.
It is an above average marine fishl so care for it with above average SW skills.
You know what I mean. You have this super cool fish in a small tank... treat it good...
