Newbie still! - Harsh Weather
So i bought some Nature's Ocean sand 20# yesterday and left it in the car over night, it got down to Zero today and that whole thing was a rock.
...It is thawed out now- Could i still use it to setup a tank? I am setting up a tank that will use half new sand ( the one that froze) and half sand from an existing tank. Thoughts? Did i Nuke the Bag? Will it Cycle more? Less? |

It's OK to use still. I'd rinse it with new salt water in a bucket and then scoop it wet into the tank before you add the live sand from the existing tank.

It's fine. It wasn't live enough to be damaged by freezing, in any case.
