Angry another dead fish... i have no idea why.

i posted a while back about how most the fish i add seem to disappear... well this one i found. i got him friday (drip acclimated 1 hour), and today is monday. he was a two spot goby and as soon as i put him in he immediately began sifting sand. he ate cyclopeze that settled on the sand as well. well today i didnt find him when i woke up. i have alot of rockwork so i just figured he was hiding.... well... i found he lying upside down dead on a rock in the back of the tank. i pulled him out and theres no signs of disease or fighting. perfectly healthy looking...except lifeless.

water params:
cal 500
alk 9
ph between 8 and 8.3
nitrate 6
sg 1.024

i tested for a week before i bought him because i was trying to be extra cautious... the only thing that changed during that week was the ph fluctuated a little 8-8.3 and the sg when up to 1.025 one day because i was out of top off that day

heres a picture of him right after i acclimated. hes a little faded due to the transfer i assume. he colored up quite nicely and looked a little fatter after day 1. (eye looks cloudy because the light reflected off his eye. didnt always look like that. also his back fin is not torn.)

and heres the live aquaria two spot goby to give a comparison:

when i found him dead today he was colored up and looked exactly like the live aquaria one. why did he die????? why are all my new fish dieing????

edit: oh btw all my corals are fine and all my inverts are fine.

Are you getting all these fish from the same spot? They could be being caught with cyanide which causes random inevitable deaths. I had the same problem a while back when I was using a certain LFS because they were cheaper than the rest. Unfortunately in the end I spend a lot more money than I would have because I was constantly having to replace fish, not to mention the feeling that the hobby was impossible. Maybe try buying a fish from somewhere else, if there are no other good ones in the area try buying online and paying the shipping costs.
