orange crush chalice
I was wondering how difficult it is to take care of this?
What do you typically feed it and would it be an OK starter coral? I have a few SPS, Xenia, many zoas, frogspawn torch, etc. Is there anything I should know before buying the small, thumbnail sized piece for 25$? How fast do these corals typically grow? |

Starter coral? I don't really understand I guess. You have SPS already, so the Favia family of corals should be no problem for you. Chalices grow pretty slowly, and can't really take the light that SPS can. I had to move my Bubble Gum Echnopora to the very bottom of a 24" tank cause it bleached out. It's back in action now and looking very nice again. I've made about 4 frags that are 1" - 2" within the last 6 months. Provide light to moderate flow.
