Probably best to pass on those drums since they previously held soap.

For those in Rochester there is this place.
needabarrel.com Many of these either had food products or medical products. All medical products are bagged before being placed in containers. I'm not related to this person in any way... I just bought my barrels from him. |

Funny thing is that I had seen his site a few years back when I started to make rain barrels... I ended up finding some in Victor at someones house.
They ended up being from the Genesee Brewery and held the lemon concoction used in Mike's lemonaide... I didnt know that was brewed here... So I passed on buying the ones from the site I just gave you. Later... in making my water system for my tanks I did buy barrels from him. Unbelievable super deal. He has barrels of all sorts. I bought a 40G and 30G open top barrel for storing straight RO/DI and mixed salt H20. Both have super nice handles on the side for lifting (not that I can lift the filled barrel), and have great open tops that can be sealed water tight with the lock. I also bought some of the smaller 9.5G barrels that are also water tight with handles. Those were the best. I can lock and load water in them so that I can carry water around the house without spilling. This makes the wife very happy. He also has square bins that we bought for storage. If you thought the square bins at HD were good.... his are stackable and made of very sturdy plastic. My wife uses these things everywhere. We will likely go back to buy more. |
