new DI resin/filters - how many gallons until it runs 0 TDS?

i've made about 3 gallons after changing filters and DI resin, how long until i hit 0 TDS? i can't remember from the last couple of times i've changed filters/resin. it started at 7, somewhat quickly dropped to 5 but hasn't progressed. the weird thing is it's showing 1 out of the RO stage. i was worried that i didn't get the DI cartridge top on all the way (because it's so damn impossible to pack). could that be an issue?

You should be down to 0 ppm by now.

How are you measuring the tds?

What sort of problem are you having packing the DI cartridge?

i took the cartridge out, unscrewed the cap, cleaned off the threads and closed it again. this time it screwed on all the way. ran a few gallons through it and down to 0

tested with inline tds meter.
