Cleaning Aquarium Help

For a sump I am planning on using one of my 55s that I previously used for a freshwater set-up. The problem is that I broke the set-up down due to a blue-green algae/bacteria outbreak. I want to make sure that all the blue-green algae/bacteria is gone before I set-up my 75. It's visibly gone, but I'm sure there is some lingering in the seams. What do you recommend I detox the aquarium with?

I think your asking about an algae out break from your fresh water tank. If thats the case I would clean the tank with white vinegar and rinse well. That should take care of any issue. Good luck

Why would you need to kill something off that lived in freshwater if you are setting up a saltwater tank? The saltwater will kill it. If you have a large amount of then yes you will want to get rid of it only because you don't want to start a tank out with a bunch of decaying matter in it.
