UV LED Moonlights?
I have some 5mm 12v UV LEDs and was wondering if it is ok to use them as a moonlight type setup. They would only be turned on for a few minutes at a time to check on the tank at night.
Thanks for any input! |

I would not suggest it, but it depends on what type of UV it is. UV A should not be to bad, UV-C could blind any and all fish that are near it when it comes on for a few minutes

Thanks i will try and find out what type of UV the LEDs are. The thought came from using a UV flashlight that made the corals floresce (sp?) like crazy at night.
