Six Line Wrasse jumped out...time for a new fish. Help!
Right now I currently have a clown and a YWG in my tank. I want to add another fish now that the wrasse has passed. I will also be adding egg crate to the top of my tank i think. I tried adding another clown at one point that was about 1/3 the size of my current clown and my clown was far to aggressive. Will I have any luck if i get a clown of comparable size?

one thing to change. don't get eggcrate to cover your tank. get something with smaller holes then eggcrate. screen from your hardware store or plexiglass with drilled holes in it. you may have lick with a comparable size clown.
as far as different fish you could probably get away with a flame hawkfish, or a damsel. |

you will likely have an issue with any size clown, except if it came from a tank of 2 clowns, and one is slightly smaller(take the smaller one). If they are in a tank with themselves, it will turn into a female. Your single clown is definitely a female, and they would fight to the death. Only way is to guarantee it is a male, she will still bully it, and don't know if they would pair.

What kind of clowns do you have? Here's a great thread on pairing clowns:
http://archive.reefcentral.com/forum...hreadid=215098 I recently added a second osc clown with my female who's been in the system for 2 years. They paired immediately. You may want to consider a blenny as a new addition to your tank. They have fabulous personalities!

you might just want to invest in some glass canopies. you will definitely save some time when you dont have to do top offs every other day. and the canopies shouldn't be a problem as long as your not running halides.

Anything like glass canopies...or anything that covers the top will just trap in the heat.
I would use the Egg crate......or you can get a screen called Hardware cloth. You can buy it at Ace Hardware. You can buy it with different size squares. It still lets the light in....but also lets the heat out.
