Controller Install Pics.

I would like to see some pics. of controller equipment installed in stands. Just wanted to see how and where everyone puts all the modules and outlets that are run by thier controllers. I need ideas because I just got my new controller up and running. Thanks

There's alot of those pics around. You may want to search through the Large Reef Tank section and look at the builds. There are a bunch of nice builds where guys put the outlets, controllers, and switches into the cabinets with a false wall.

What I did is made extension cords and ran them to my EB8's so I could put the equipment were I wanted to. Just go to Lowes and get a 100' extension cord and some male and female ends, figure out how long it needs to be and make you one. Make sure you get 3 wire extension cords so you have a ground. You can see some of them in my build thread.

I don't have pictures available right now. PM me if you still have troubling finding some pics. Basically, I used a middle atlantic rack (this a rack mount case for musicians) w/two American DJ powerstrips. I put two panels on the front that I attached the controller, vortech drivers, etc., to. Ballasts sit in the bottom. I have a tray that holds dosing equipment. The wire jungle gets hidden behind it.

Here's my approach to grouping and isolating the controller devices from the wet sump area.

And the backside of the controller area:

Here's my Reefkeeper Elite setup. PC4's shown in this pic.

The RKE head unit mounts to the inside of the cabinet door. All of the tanks electrical components are run from the electrical compartment show here.

Here is my setup. Its a bit out of control right now. The Apex was installed last week. I need to clean and route the wiring but since I just installed and setup the apex, I have yet to tend to the wires. I had the original Aqua Controller first. I have yet to remove it as I had a bezel made so its flush mounted in my wall. I will do the same for the apex in the coming weeks and move the original aqua controller under the tank once I get around to the drywall repair.

Apex and AC install

Apex brain underneath the tank...

Power bars

LED Moon controller

Pumps soon to be controlled by Apex

A somewhat recent shot of the tank

WOW Slief.....what size tank is that? Will your Apex head unit go where the old aquacontroller head unit is now?
