It's like something from Aliens
So I noticed this the other day in my tank and it's actually kind of freaky. Never moves, always in the same place. It looks like it could be a pyramid shaped shell with it's point into the rock. Horseshoe shaped on the end with a split in the middle. It pushes out of the rock and opens up (splits). It looks like it has small almost hermit like legs inside of the shell.
This has to be the strangest hitch hiker I have seen so far. |

When it opens up do you ever see anything sticking out?

Nope, I mean I can see it's "legs" but it doesn't really poke them out of the shell area.

Nope, I have never seen anything sticking out of it. Took some more pictures tonight. I will see if any of them came out better.
