t5 fixture in retro

i have a 4 54w tek light that i want to take apart and use it lie a retro. does anyone see a problem with this? the reason y im doing this is cuz i want to hook up my lights into a canopy and want to turn my 4 54w into a 6 54w.

Should be fine...I don't see you should'nt be able to disassemble it and use the parts.

As long as the ballast has the wiring diagram label its a real easy conversion. If the label is not on the ballast then knowing the make & model (so that you can download the wiring diagram) will be helpful before going forward. From there on out just a little common sense is all that is needed to complete the 'retro' setup.
