Any ideas on a 90 gal reef ready?

I just picked up a 90 gal ready everything but riock.... And I picked up some rock this past week and got the tank up and running.. It has a nice light setup with 2t-5 and a metal halide. I have 2 korilla 4 and a mag18 return.. Wich the guy said he had throttled back.. Gives slot of flow.. Also came with a uroreef skimmer..and a 10gal sump.. Wich iam going to upgrade to a 20long here soon..and I got 100 pds of rock..

90 gallon tank

That is almost the exact same set up I had and it work great. I would increase the size of the sump though to a 20 gallon.

I decided almost 2 months ago that I liked my tank the way it was and I was gonna just let it go and keep my hands out. Unfortunately there just too much that goes on with all the living things. My turbo, aka bulldozer, snails like to rearrange frags left and right and I'm always adjusting

Aahh my smaller tank I use some purple stuff made for saltwater that got real sticky and holds all that in place.. Did a real good job..even holds rocks in place..

Looks nice, I missed the part about it being 36" instead of the normal 48". That wil be a nice size and one I haven't seen before.

yeap its a 36x24x24...i was told it was custom made from a tank place..and the stand too..but i like the 24 wide tank..but i also like 30 tall instead of 24..but this is the getting back into the hobby tank for now..my goal down the road is to get a 150+ tank again..

I'm thinking that Mag 18 is going to be too much flow through your sump. You're going to have a tough time preventing micro-bubbles unless you throttle it WAY back. Of course, you can also divert some of the return flow to your fuge and/or GFO and carbon reactors. Though it may be a bit on the small side, I only run a Mag 7 on my 90. If and when I replace it, I think I'm going to go with an Ehiem 1262.

I would go with the 20 long over the tall. I'm using a 29 for my sump. It gives me more volume and a deeper fuge.

I like the dimensions of your tank. The extra width should allow you to build a really nice rock structure. Good luck!
