if you can find a seaclone for real cheap, you can mod it to work decently....just google seaclone mods and do the bioball mod and the air valve mod and you will be set....mine used to pull a lot of crap!!

I agree with Chad that the little water changes will more than make up for a skimmer on that size tank.

Thanks for the opinions everybody.

Will the water changes work if i have bunch of corals? I will be doing alot with inverts and corals and only have a couple of fish.

I hear that a protein skimmer is a must-have if you have corals.

I currently have a skilter 250 that i was using, but i am switching to a aquaclear 50 filter, and a separate skimmer or similar. I was tired of all the micro bubbles. I heard it isn't good for the fish.

Let me know what i should do.

Thanks
Nick

I vote no skimmer..
I have had my 12 gallon nano cube set up for almost 5 years without a skimmer.
I change one gallon a week, but I don't have any fish in it.

I have a little bakpak on my kids tank but I keep it there to aerate the water more then to skim.

If you cant find a used skimemr lookinto the new Eshopps 100H its getting great reviews and its really cheap.
