Biocube 29 noise issues
Hi all, decided to set back up my biocube 29g after a tank crash last summer. I have it running open top now and it seems if the water drops the slightest amount in the rear chambers it trickles constantly and loud enough to be annoying.
As far as mods done go - widened opening between chambers 1 & 2, got rid of bio balls - removed false floor in chamber 1, not using stock filter, have bag of carbon and heater in 1, using filter floss on top of try in chamber 2. An ATO is in the works but until I get it built and get my float switch in, any thoughts on how to quiet it down? |

Looks like a good idea, I have some spare acrylic and eggcrate in my project box gonna see if I can fab one of those up.
Also would drilling a small hole below the opening from chamber 1 to chamber 2 help with reducing the waterfall effect? |

Re: Biocube 29 noise issues
i wouldn't recommend that, do the media basket, put filter floss on top shelf equals silence.

Add more water to the tank. This will flood the back and the water wont fall. Complete silence.
