???becket skimmer????help ??

Has anyone had any experience of using a custom built 4 ft tall beckett skimmer ??? Guy is trying to sell me on eand i want to know if they are any good ? Do they work kije a needle whell skimmer or what ? Also why are they called beckett skimmers?

Lots of people have built them. You could ask in the DIY forum. They're called Beckett skimmers because that's the brand of the venturi part they use for air injection. They aren't needle-wheel style at all.
