Baby snails

I noticed last night that their were about 9 tiny snails (2mm) on my rock and glass. I only have margarita snails so did they reproduce???

Also, one of my mushrooms is migrating onto the front of the display (it's acrylic). Any way to move him?

Thanks

The snails you saw were probably adults of one of a few small species that commonly hitchhike in. If they were shaped like your margarita snails then they're probably Collonista, which is a harmless herbivore.

Current Tank Info: tore them down to move and haven't had the time or money to set them back up

Color doesn't help much in determining the type of snail, unfortunately. If you can get a closeup shot, that might help. I agree that they are likely adult hitchhikers, and Collonista are fairly common. Google should turn up some pictures.

Like everyone says, they are harmless. I have tons in mine.

One bad thing is they pretty much clogged up the pinwheel in my skimmer. More than 50% of the wheel were full of shell stuck between the pins. But that was in a year so the benefits more than outweigh the disadvantages.
