Does it have to be a distributor actually located in Hawaii, or can it be a distributor that ships to Hawaii?

I live in Illinois so I am looking for a distributor that is located in Hawaii. Something like ccritters.com or tomscaribbean.com where they sell the fish for cheaper.

That might be kind of hard because it is very costly for a company to ship to and from Hawaii to the lower 48 states.

Actually, i found one but I am not sure if this is the one. It doesn't give an email on it. The fish on this site are ridiculously cheap.

Just a warning, early in my saltwater experience I did this and it cost me. A local forum had a large order come in from Hawaii, two of us ended up with velvet. If you receive any fish like this it is far more important to QT them than under any other circumstance. Assume they have ich/velvet and do a whole treatment. The other guy who ended up with velvet lost about $1800 worth of fish and he knew better! I was lucky and of the three fish that I got, only one of my two yellow tangs died along with a four line... i QT'd.

Wet Pets Hawaii. Free shipping most of the time, all animals are quarantined and medicated two weeks prior to shipping. Can't be beat.

I should probably clarify.. I received my fish directly from a diver without the "middleman" who would normally treat and QT. Wet Pets is indeed a very good site.

Really? That must cost them a fortune (well not cost them, but it should wipe out a lot of profit).

I would definitely need to quarantine and I will. Thanks for the website. Anyone know the time difference in Hawaii and IL? I emailed the guy last night so I will wait for a reply today and if nothing, I will give him a call.
