what would u dose in a softie

my tank is mostlly softies but a buch of lps to. basically i want my leathers to grow more like toadstols. they look great i just want them to grow more


and whats the trick with xenia i heard iodine low temp and salinty higher and i still cant keep it

im pretty new to reef central hope to meet some of u at the swap

Mine grows like crazy and I don't dose anything. You can frag some if you like. I'm near comisky park.

You should never dose anything you can't test for. With that said only dose to keep parameters in check. Adding things just because you feel you need to can and will usually have bad results. You need to get your parameters as close to NSW as you can and keep them STABLE. Constant fluctuation will generally not lend itself to a healthy tank.

ya for the most part im pretty good on testing it i work at tropi quatics i mean like adding supplements i guess like reef complete which is like amino acids that kind of stuff

Ok, you guys knew this was coming... I dose Vitamin C & my leathers/LPS, are bigger, fluffier & even have polyp extension on them when before they didnt' have any.

I dont have any softies in my tank, but have plenty of them in my sister in laws tank. No VC, no dosing, no "adding" anything..... Just frequent water changes with quality salt (Seachem Reef Salt).

Their leathers and LPS are constantly needing to be trimmed back because they grow so fast and they have unbelievable polyp extension as well.....
