Question about my Brain Coral
Back in Nov I noticed that it started to grow a bubble and it has progressively gotten larger. About a week ago I noticed that it was the largest I had seen it and then all of a sudden it deflated. Now it's been that way for the last few days. Any thoughts?
My apologies still getting used to my mac and I'm not sure exactly how to scale down the photos. So I'll have to work on that. Last edited by dawn916; 02/07/2010 at 01:19 AM. |

Hmm, the pictures are working for me. The second picture shows more tentacle extension. Maybe it's responding to some sort of prey? I don't know enough about these corals to say much.

I would think it's just some form of reproduction. No worries.

Yes that is what I thought it was, I have been told that it will just fall off one day and a new one will start. Just was wondering if the deflating was part of that process and if anyone knows how long it usually takes.
This Morning I did notice that the skeleton under that area was very pink and looks as if it is extending. Just waiting in anticipation is all |
