Light Acclimation in MH-AIOs
I was just wondering what people do to to acclimate new low-light corals in their AIOs. I have the JBJ-HQI, and was wanting some tips to slowly acclimate some low/mid light corals into the tank.
I've had success with acans, frogspawn, hammers just simply lowering photoperiod and gradually increasing photoperiod with these corals around the outside in "indirect" light. But recently I totally bleached, (and looks like killed) a Trachy that was in indirect light with a low photperiod. I'd like to have some more lower-light corals at the bottom of my tank, and I was just wanting some advice on light acclimation on the AIOs, (due to the fact that it's not easy to put screen under the light, etc. on AIOs). ~Kem (Also placing this in the Nano section in case some people don't frequent Newbie Section) |

Ouch! Sorry to hear about the Trachy. It might survive with some target feeding, if you aren't already trying that. I don't know how to do acclimation in such a tank, though.
