reef octopus needle skimmer

what is the water level for these skimmers, anyone know?

i've looked all over the place for the water level info and can't find it. i hear it's a good skimmer and it will acutally fit in my sump and cabinet and i'm pretty much set on gettin it, but just trying to iron out the details.

it's the model for the 100 gallon tank.
like this one i assume http://www.marinedepot.com/Reef_Octo...1-FIPS-vi.html

not that i'm gettin it there, just so you guys know what i'm talkin about.

also, i've noticed that there is like a 4x8 foot print and a 10x6 listed for the same skimmer. it looks like one is kinda situated above the pump, and the other is next to the pump.

on top of the pump:

next to the pump:

thanks!

From what I've read, all of the in-sump Octopus skimmers require a constant 8-10'' water level for optimal performance.

There are several older models that vary a bit, and note that one is recirculating vs non. The second link posted is the newest ('09) model.

Check out this thread.....

http://reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1638272

You should be able to find out anything you want to know about the skimmer there and if not it would be the place to ask your questions.
