Nova extreme pro 6x18w T5HO

I was hoping i could get some feedback on this fixture. I have an AP24 nano and want to keep a clam, soft coral and maybe in the future SPS. Would this fixture be suitable. I think i may need to change out the bulbs with some better ones. I currently have the stock lighting (PC's). thanks.

It would be fine and yes, you will need to swap out the bulbs.

Check out the T5 thread for ideas on what color combo to try.

It's a nice light.
It's a very nice light for the money.
Unfortunately there are no other bulbs available in this size. R

rickh is correct.

Personally, I'd get a 4x24 so I could upgrade the bulbs. The increase in PAR would be significant.

That's great news!! My girlfriend has an 18" fixture; she'll be happy to hear it.

My point still holds, though. This is a huge improvement over Current's bulbs, but still not much of an assortment - and consider the PAR output of those UVL actinics versus ATI's blue plus bulbs.

Just a thought. I'll shut up now.

the PAR output may not be equal but nanotuners/nanocustoms is working on a retrofit for the NEP20in that will make the NEP a T5VHO fixture and will increase the PAR output of those bulbs hugely seeing as they are VHO bulbs. so this will up the fixture from 108w to 180w which is a huge improvement
