No offence, but your tank looks very bare. Has it cycled yet? Is there any food for the crab to eat? I wouldn't consider this normal behaviour for an emerald crab

No mine always hide. Try some nori in a clip, or a grazing block. Poor guy is hungry my guess. Ask friends if they have any algae infested rocks even or macro algae that's edible. Mine goes crazy over gracilaria sp

Tank is bare and recently cycled. Bruiser and the two clownfish were it's first inhabitants. You can't see it with the light and the video but there is plenty of algae for him to eat. Honestly, I wish he'd step up and eat more!

In all seriousness, he spends most the time eating, but I've caught him a couple of times now coming out to dance.

my old emerald used to dance, although not quite as dramatically. Nice choice of music for the video!
