Artemis Ebay MH Bulb review
This is just my personal experience with the Artemis ebay MH bulbs. They are the ones I got for $10 each from the seller known as hobbylighting.
Came well packaged. There was no way they could break with the way they had been packaged so that was good. I got 175W SE bulbs, the 20K version. One of the bulbs didn't fire so I'm going to get a replacement. He responded to my email pretty quickly. I'm running M57 magnetic ballasts. Turned on the light and kept my almost year-old 12k reeflux on in the other fixture (as the other bulb didn't work). Wow. It's almost the same colour as my 6700K bulbs on my planted aquariums. I'll give it the slight edge in blueness but it's pretty awful. The year old 12k reeflux looks like a million dollars compared to it. My corals have never looked worse. Bottom line: A very well-packaged waste of $40.
