Return Pump/Chiller Pump Advice??

I am currently running an Eheim 1262 pump for my return, and a mag 12 for my JBJ 1/4HP chiller. I am curious if i would be able to eliminate the mag12 due to heat concerns, and just use the Eheim to do both??? I have a 125gal 6 foot tank, with dual returns (3/4inch piping). The Eheim is in my sump directly below my tank, so i figure about 3 to 4 feet of head. Hoping somebody here has some experience with this pump!

Before I purchased my chiller, I called a bunch of companies and had them tell me what the head loss through the unit was (I wanted to know exactly what my flow rate was... I calculated it, then measured it). For most, at 600 gph, they added 3-4 feet of head loss to a system.

So adding 3-4 feet from the chiller and 3-4 feet from your sump to tank (and taking various other factors like fittings and whatnot into account), my official guess is 500 gph flow.

Your absolutely right that you dont need to be running both pumps though... this flow through, IMO, is fine for most systems. But just for fun, I pulled the pump curves for the mag 12, my guess there is that it will flow 650-700 gph in the same setup.
