adding more sand
so i have a 2 month old 125 gallon reef with about 75 pounds of caribsea live sand. i have 2 or 3 more bags of it i would like to add to the tank. is this a good idea? how should i do it? im thinking a pvc pipe to kind of place it ontop of the existing sand.

I am sure some one will think this is crazy or wrong but I have seen people take their bags of live sand clean the bag very good and then put it on the sand bed of tank to open it.

I like the pvc idea. I would turn off the water pumps, place the sand in a container, turn the container upside down before entering the water, then bring the container to the final location and let the sand slowly drop to the spot. Repeat.
