problems with zoanthids
A lot of my zoanthids are not opening completely. They are open, but are cupped instead of normal. Thease zoas are at verying depths throughout my tank. My tank is aprox 1 year old. All water parameters (ca, dkh, mg, po4, ph, salinity) etc. test OK. Any thoughts?

how long have you had the zoa's in your tank?...do you have blennies or stars that might be crawling on top of them constantly?

I use a 250w hqi 20k for lighting. Only one fish, Fiji Damsel. I do have some small starfish but none seen on the zoas. They are mostly on the bottom of tank and glass sides.

could be several things. Some crabs will nip at them, toxins in the water will irritate them (from competing corals, dinoflagellates, etc.), causing them to partially close up. There are zoa eating nudibranchs, but I wouldn't think that would cause them all to close up.
