Help! BTA Regurgitating!

I have had the BTA For about 2 weeks now an he has been eating Silver side Whole fish food. I have been feeding him about 2 times a week which consist of half on a monday then the other half on a thursday. Would this be too much? I noticed he threw some of it up about 6 hrs after i fed him... any suggestions?

He's perfectly fine. Their mouth and butt are the same hole, to put it in simple terms. He is just discarding the parts of the fish that he can't digest. Mine bta does the same thing w/ silver sides. Make sure you feed it other foods also like, shrimp, krill, squid meat, etc.. You may already.

you feed it a half a silverside at a time? I would cut it to much smaller pieces.

Your anemone is telling you that either, it needs smaller pieces of food, or less food in general. The main issue is that now you have a chunk of fish decomposing in your system (unless eaten by fish or your CUC).

I feed it a half at a time in 2 courses. So its 1/4th, i will try and cut it into smaller pieces thank you. I took the pieces out of the tank

Is it actually the fish you are seeing or more of a "brown goo". If it is the latter, it is probably excreting wastes. Granted 6 hours is relatively soon, but mine always "poops" 12-24 hours after it is fed.

If it expelling waste, the remains will look like a partially digested skeleton. At least that is what my yellow tank looked like after a haddoni got to it.

Well its a sack like structure with pieces of the whole fish inside i took it out right away and put it in a bowl it was a goo like sack which just splattered into the bowl. Hmm could this be waste from a previous feeding?
