Question Yellow watchman goby

Hello,I just put a yellow watchman goby and a pistol shrimp in my tank on Friday.Occasionally I see the shrimp but have not seen the goby since I went to bed Friday night.I've heard they can jump out of the tank when stressed, but I looked all over and don't see a carcass.I cannot find this fish.Do they bury themselves in the sand for days?Just wondering if anyone else has had this problem.

Mine will be out for days and then disappear for a while. The last time it was for about 10 days. I wouldn't worry too much about it.

It may be in a burrow in hiding. Once acclimated, it will be keeping "watch" as the Pistol burrows new tunnels. This is the behavior exhibited by my YWG & Pistol pair.

My YWG will disappear for about 5 days at a time, I wouldn't worry

Watch that goby with your clowns. My clown chased mine straight out of the tank into the overflow twice.

as long as there is plenty of reef rock for it to find a cave or dig one it should be fine
