Velcro toxic?

I would like to be able to move frag discs around in the tank after they grow bigger (not > 5 inches).
I was thinking of gluing Velcro on the back of the disc, and attaching it to a bar in the tank that has the other side of Velcro glued onto it.

Does anybody know if Velcro keeps its strength in the water for a period of a year?

Does anybody know if Velcro that is made of nylon contains or releases any acids (gas/liquid) over time that makes it necessary to cure the tape first?
