Rc offers iphone and blackberry apps!

Just thought I would share some of the news from their Facebook Page. Prettu sure Iphone is out now and it says a blackberry app is due out in Feb 2010, so any day now I guess. And, Cato, you would have known this if you didn't think that facebook was solely for chicks

There isn't a dedicated reef central app for the iPhone yet per say....merely a third party app (tapatalk) which enables you to access through the tapatalk app. I think RC is long overdo for there own iPhone app, which should make surfing through the forums much faster.

FYI, the Balckberry app is in beta now. I just tested it and it works but have not had time to really kick the tires yet. It can be downloaded OTA at http://tapatalk.com/bb

Thanks, just downloaded it. I've been anxiously waiting for "Feb. 2010" to come and I guess it's finally here. In beta, anyway.

Played with it a little bit, not impressed so far. No shortcuts to favorite forums, limited navigation. I'll do without until they add a few more features.

Besides, I have a hard enough time paying attention at meetings. I don't need another diatraction!

Go to Search on the main screen and type in ReefCentral. That's what worked for me.

That got it. You have to capitalize it just like that too. I tried reefcentral, reef central, Reef Central and got nothing.

Well, for some reason it is stuck on loading for reefcentral. Other forums work but reefcentral won't load.

edit: it finally came up.

Whoohoo -- I was just going to ask about one for the Droid -- I'm on my way to go play!

(Yes - I agree - the Droid lives up to all its hype. I've had mine now for three months and still am awstruck by it.)

I'm a PC. And now a Mac. Just bought a mac to go along with my 3 development PCs (way too many wires in my office!), so I can learn doing iphone apps. I may do an app to read RC forums just to get my feet wet in app development.

What features are you looking for in an app to read forums on RC? (what would be different than just opening RC in a web browser on the iphone?)
