I don't really care for my turbo's. They do a ok job on the rock work but their like a bulldozer for everything else. I have to pick frags off the sand bed everyday cause they seem to prefer my frag rack and just knock everything off. Love my nassarius snails though, do a great job with the sand bed.

The turbos can be too big and clumsy to get everything, can really pollute the tank if they are big in a small tank.
Ceriths are great little workers, but can't mow down the big stuff. Seem to survive a while. Nassarius are good for the sand, but can be "ghosts" Nerites didn't seem to last too long for me. Mexican Turbos have problems with the water temps Astrea last, but flip and die. Stromatellas: The hitchhiker that kept on going... Favorite: Collonistas.....small numerous, hidden in the day, did there thing at night. FREE!! Moral of the story: They all have their pros and cons.....variety is best. http://reefkeeping.com/issues/2005-01/rs/index.php http://reefkeeping.com/issues/2004-05/rs/index.php http://reefkeeping.com/issues/2004-06/rs/index.php http://reefkeeping.com/issues/2004-07/rs/index.php

Nassarius by far are my favorite. Guests always love it when I feed the tank and they come up out of the sandbed. They are more fascinated by that then anything else in the tank.

I would have to say my fighting conch's, they keep the sand well stirred and are interesting to watch.

the stomatella were the ones i liked to watch. always busy. nassarius were awesome when the food hit the water and they rose like zombies out of the sand. those are the top two, imo.

Nassarius Vibex.. do not eat algae but they do eat excess foods and deterius. I call em snorkel snails since they burry in sand tand stick up a siphon to smell the water.. quite funny.
