Long Term Results from Solatubes
Hey Everyone,
Does anyone know of of a thread that has long term results using only Solatubes for lighting. I am thinking of using them for my next tank but I am concerned about the spectrum of light that will reach the coral. I know that Solatubes deliver the same light that the Sun delivers to the ocean where wild corals live. However, when you compare the depth of our tanks to the depths where wild corals live there could be a significant difference in the light the corals receive. Any diver can tell you that as light travels through water you begin losing a portion of the light spectrum. So, before I cut holes in my roof and plan my entire tank around them I was hoping to see the results others have achieved. Thanks, EJ
