Lighting help

hi I have 120 GALLON TANK with 60x18x26 dimensions and was wondering if the nova extreme t-5 with luner lights is long enough for my 60" tank the light fixture is 48" would this be ok to light my tank up. i really do not want a 72" fixture.also how much more do metal halides use electricity over t-5's.i AM TRYING TO SAVE MONEY on my electric bill too.

thanks mike

you may get some dark spots in the corners if you are going with a 48" T5 fixture lighting a 5 ft tank. If you can suspend it, that may help out. The cost of running halides will depend a bit on what you are charged per Kilowatt hour. To light your 60" tank, two MH bulbs will do it.
