Glass holes overflow box

Hi, everyone. I've finally drilled my 40 breeder for my glass holes overflow box. I'm just wondering, if anyone here has used one, how did you tighten up the bulkhead nut? I tightened it up by hand as much as I could when I test-fit it but I can't seem to get it really tight. Maybe that's due to the fact that I can barely fit my fingers in there. I can still move the box around if I push with moderate force. Should I be getting some kind of special wrench to really snug it up? Obviously, I don't want to tighten it too much. Thanks, everyone.

Hand tight should be enough, over tightening will pinch the washer and cause a leak.
