Ecorock (manmade) vs Walt Smith or Totoka?

Hi all,

I am trying to decide between Ecorock and either Walk Smith or Totoka live rock.

The Eco rock has some coralline on it and was seeded from real fiji rock . However, the eco rock is not pourous at all...where the walt smith and fiji is extremely pourous.

I get that the 2 will look the same in a year...I get that the beneficial bacteria will be on both types. That said will there not be a lot more of it on the pourous rock? I imagine that either of the 2 live rocks will have a TON more surface area than the ecorock?

Opinions?

Correct - the Ecorock could still be used; you'd just need more of it.
