Foxface RabbitFish won't eat Nori Sheets
Hi Everyone,
My foxface has done a tremendous job and eaten ALL the algae in the tank. With a little bit of help from my Emerald Crab of course. So now I have put in some nori sheets to keep him fed but he doesn't seem to know that it's food. I also bought some spinach for him but I don't want to put too much food in at once in case he doesn't realise that is food either. Will he eventually learn? He is afraid of his shadow so the waving nori sheet scares him a lot. Any ideas are most welcome. Cheers

Try rubbing the nori with garlic. My tangs had no interest either until I tried it.

Rubberband some nori around a small piece of rock and place it somewhere he hangs out.

Keep trying and try different places. I wasted a good 10 sheets (small pieces) of red and green nori on my tank...I have 3 tangs in it and nobody touched it but the CUC. I was getting ready to go the garlic or selcon route when out of the blue just about EVRERYBODY started hitting it....tangs, clowns, algea blenny. Now I can't even get it to the sand before they assault it. I rubberband mine to an old clam shell and place it in a low flow area so it's easy to situate and remove.

Mine will take a small piece from my hand. Just give it time.

All great ideas.
I'll get on it tomorrow. I'll try attaching it to rocks and see if that works. He doesn't look like he's hungry yet and still has some bits of algae to nip on. Just want to make sure he is used to eating it before the algae runs out completely!!!
