Just out of curiosity... How many of you are smokers

I am a non-smoker but it's funny b/c almost every local reefer I have met is a smoker. Is this what's going to happen to me after having my 120 setup for a few years???

Just for anyone out there who wants to quit or is trying to quit. I know from experience, that it is one of the hardest things to quit when you finally want to. Good luck and stick with it. If you fall of the wagon, get back on, don't just lay there on the ground smoking. Been free of that for over 10 years now.

I'm in medical school and see first hand how smoking is one of the worst things you can possibly do to yourself. If you are a smoker STOP IT, you are KILLING yourself!

Smoking is looked down on now. We know how bad it is for you. If you are walking down the street smoking, the non-smokers that see you are thinking this: "What the hell is this moron doing? Its the 21st century. Smoking is out, what an F'ing idiot"

Used to smoke but don't quit around 12 yrs ago. What I don't get is how society looks at smokers as such lepers, but drinking is still cool & fine. Really?

I'd love to see one of those "truth" commercials outside of a brewery/distillery with a few million people all dramatically "falling down" to represent the alcohol related deaths.

Seriously. Although I still think smoking is a more disgusting habit for the people around smokers (and the smokers themselves). Alchohol is the leading cause of health problems and even all hospital admissions. I think "mary" should be legal and alchohol illegal. I have only gotten into trouble from the second. Of course the only reason the first is illegal is b/c in the 30's the govt wanted to get rid of the Mexican immigrants who were the primary users. So they threw them all in jail or deported them.

Smoked cigarettes for 25 years..

I let it progressivly beat me down for that amount of time.. it took the birth of a child to motivate me to finally quit.. and even that took a year and half before I said enough is enough.

Smoking is a bad addiction.. it permeates every part of your life and existance and is very hard to let go of. I have been smoke free just 2.5 months now.. last month was a motha #@!%@.

I enjoy not being a smoker.. but will always miss the cigarette to some degree. The impression we build of ourselves and how much we enjoy cigarettes is a lie much like the funny white powder was of the 80's. I almost believe that they purposly make cigaretted more addictive to make it near impossible to quit..

You do not realise how bad they really are until you seperate yourself from them.

Now reefers and aquariums on the other hand..

I quit smoking 5 years ago this May, and I don't miss it in any way. I wish I would of came to my senses sooner, as it is such a waste of health and life. I never cough anymore, I am almost never sick or have headaches, and I feel 1000x better than I ever did while breathing that toxic crap in for years.

If you smoke, just stop. If you can't do it cold turkey(I did, it was not hard), get stop aids or go to a support group. Once you are through any withdrawals, you will not miss all the negative things that come with it.

Well its legal here in oregon. All you need to have is a "medical marijuana card" and they arent hard to get and you can legally grow something like 6 plants. The biggest joke of 21st century politics IMHO. 15 year old kids can even aquire them. I better stop right there!! LOL

Oh Yeah! Non smoker. Quit in august of 98
