iphone - ireef or aquanotes

Does anyone have any preferences for either ireef or aquanotes. I'm going to get a controller and would like to use my iphone to check on the tank. Not that its necessary but if it possible why not.

Thanks

Which controller are you looking at? Aquanotes works with Neptune's computers (Apex, Aqua Controller, etc.)

If you are getting a controller and haven't decided on one I would highly recommend profilux (P2 or P3). Check out the GHL forum in the sponsors section here on rc. From what I understand you can control everything with their phone app.

I had a RKE and now have a profilux. I wish I would have bought the P2 before wasting my money on another controller.

controller

I'm trying to keep costs down so I was considering getting an RKL ($99) then getting the net module ($118) later. I also see you can get a bare bones RKE from DA for $249. It would help if I could build it piece by piece. The DA app seems to be less favorably rated than neptunes.

Initially I want to control heaters and fans on a 220 at the minimum. I realize I'm sort of approaching this backwards, asking about the app first.

I personally now run a Aquacontroller 3. Just upgraded from a AC JR. Both can be configured to work with aquanotes with the right hardware. The AC3 and Apex are easier because they have built in network capability. Very easy to use and will handle your heaters and fans. You simply tell it if temp <74 heater on....etc. I think its very user friendly for the cost and features.
