Aqua Medic ocean light that smells :S

Hi.

We bought a new aqua medic ocean light 2x150w hqi yesterday.
It smells like a salty, rotten fish :S

It smells so mutch that it smells out in the house..

Is this normal? How long is it going to smell like this?

No dis-respect intended, this can be easily overlooked (I've done it before) but did you check to make sure you removed the reflector's plastic protective coating before firing the bulbs?
I'm not even sure if the Aqua Medic's have this but most do.

we have not take of any plastic, it is nothing on the glass, but maby it in the reflektors? I cannot see anything is burned, but i turn it of now for to open it and chek the reflektors.

No plastic on the reflektors.. Wonder what it can be.. Can it be fish smell because the lamp is brand new?
