Critique my dual sump/ refugium design

Please critique my dual sump / refugium design.
The overall measurements would be 37L x 17W x 17H divided down the middle.
One side would function as a sump and the other side would function as a refugium.
I would split the overflow from the main tank into two feeds into the sump/refugium controlling each with a ball value conection. I would incorporate one external pump to return water back to the display.
I have attached two files. The first is the overall concept and the second is the placement of the baffles.

Most Important will this set up work.

According to my math I will have 3 gallons of water flow back into the sump when the power fails and should have plenty of exess capacity to absorb the 3 gallons.
My display tank is a 90 gallon reef ready tank.
