Tek light leg options
I have a four foot four bulb tek light im using over a 90 gallon oceanic bowfront. I tried using the legs that sunlight supply manufactures specifically for this light, only to find that it barely worked over my tank. the legs only are able to sit 1/2 inch or less on each side of the tank, they wont get any smaller which leaves my light sitting precariously on top of the aquarium.
add to this that i needed it to fit under the plastic canopy that sits on top of the bowfront it makes for an annoying problem. so i wont be using the legs, but i also dont want the tek light sitting directly on the glass lids. does anyone have any ideas how to prop up this fixture in a way that doesnt totally look awful? something creative i can do with acrylic maybe? hanging or suspension is out of the question. it has to be some form of propping method and even though it will be out of sight, id still like it to be functional and not completely crappy looking. thank you for any ideas!

You can reverse the legs to get a better fit.
Code:
i.e. instead of this: ___________________________ |___________________________| _| |_ | | Do this: ___________________________ |___________________________| |_ _| | | |

thanks TheH, i tried this method too, but the tank has a glass lid and this prevents anything else from fitting inside the rim of the tank. the glass lid also needs to stay on as well, unfortunately, since there is a mass of bubble wands inside the tank which would otherwise leave salt spray and damage the wall behind the aquarium.
any other ideas?
