mp40w es master pump question

i have a 2 gen mp40w (not ES). if i get a mp40W ES can that be the master and my old one be the slave? and since the old one is the slave would the ES make the slave pump work insync with the ES, which would make the old mp40w better?
thanks

yes to teh first question. and 2nd question they can by in sync or antisync but the the old mp40w will not have the same options that the ES has, like the additional flow modes. just because one vortech is upgraded to the new ES will not make the older vortech work like the ES, but they will still communicate to each other
