harnessing the sun?

thinking of using solatubes for a new tank either 7 or 8 feet long. r there other brands that might be better? do you think i can get away with 2 14" tubes mounted high enough to cover the tank (plus actinics)?

thanks bowfront went thru those. spoke w a solatube rep, im worried about snow in the winter here in nyc covering the dome
