Mixing kalk into ATO water container

When adding Kalk to the ATO water container, are you supposed to stir it all up to help it dissolve, and for about how long, or will it dissolve on it's own?

Is it safe to keep the ATO on after adding the kalk or should I turn off the ATO for awhile?

Thanks.

It needs a brief stirring to get it to dissolve, then stop stirring and let it settle. I often try to get my ATO pumps to not be active for a while (such as by adding a little fresh water manually tot eh tnak) when making a new batch so I do not suck too much solid lime stuff into the pumps. Not only can it help to clog some types of pumps, but it delivers super potent limewater when the solids dissolve in the tank.

But a little of it is not a big deal, typically.
