Upgrading to 40 breeder-stocking advice
Hey, right now I have a pair of black clowns in a 12g nanocube. They're doing great with some zoanthids and a pretty light CUC. I bought a 40 breeder and will be upgrading this summer. I would like some stocking advice. heres my preferences:
1. I want to keep my two clowns 2. What I get needs to be able to eat dry food because im in college and leave for 1-2 weeks about 4 times a year. I use a rondomatic (which only takes dry foods) to feed during these times. 3. preferably the newcomer(s) would be a mid-water fish like the clowns so everyone gets a fair share of the auto feeder. 4. I like smaller fish that will live happily (not cramped) and I dont like fish that fight each other. I was thinking about getting a school of chromis. how many could/should i get? are there any damsels that, in a large-ish group, would not kill each other or my clowns? I LOVE the look of yellow tails. would they, in a large group, leave my clowns in peace? what else would you recommend based on my list of preferences? Thanks guys. |
